Keeping Up With House Chores and To Do List!
Fall It's About Harvest and Productivity
We begin to welcome the
Fall by putting Summer's clothes away, organizing the backyard and putting tools
away, and closing the pool. That's a good time to go through the items you want to
keep and the items you would like to donate or just tossed. There's only so much
space in the house to storage everything. Sometimes it feels much easy to just throw
everything into a pile but only to get you hostile next time you need to get to
that room.
We all have that room,
drawer, closet that we mean to get to it whenever there's that extra time. The
thing of the matter is that, the time we need to organize never comes, there's
always something else more important, relevant to care for. Leaving the project
to next time, if not years of putting it off. We all heard of journals and how
it helps us to keep grounded and organized. It seems like a quick solution if
you can keep it written. I go days without writing on my journal. Just simply
because there's always something that comes along the way and sometimes gets me
off guard, messing up with my plans. I never give up- I go back and write
things that I needed to remember most.
For me taking one
project at a time is best. I just make time on my schedule to tackle the
specific room in the house. Let me tell you that it feels great the end results
when I stick with it till the end. The one thing I have hard time getting
through organizing-I am working on it- It's to let go and let God! For example:
I have two daughters in their late teens and I keep some of their toddles toys.
It took me more than a decade to donate their baby clothes. It does take
practice. I always tried to find people that need and would really use them.
Don't get me wrong-I am not the type to go out and buy staff- I am not a
shopper. I just keep the necessary in my home. I know that some furniture needs
to be replaced-because it's getting old-but I keeper nice, cozy and clean. So,
I never really felt the need to go out buy new staff. As long the things are
clean and clutter free. It is just less stuff to put away. Wouldn't be nice to
have less to do, so you have more time for fun? Less stuff, more time
management, less clutter, more productivity, less procrastination, more
organized space and more self-management. It is just less challenging and problems
solving when trying to find something. It's about concrete actions you can take
to get more organized or use your time better.
It's important to start
and finish a project before moving to the next. Completion stops mental and
physical clutter. You are beginning a task and finish it. That way you don't feel
overwhelming and boring going back to do the same thing repeatedly. Get the
family involved, if possible. Start small, don't over expect too much done.
Keep it simple and quick to get done. When you start try to keep things
like; family photos and other items for a well tough out time, so that is not
emotional clutter involved, if there's one. Sometimes photos can bring great
memories and we might spend hours looking at it, or just make us feel uneasy and
sad. You want to avoid that, so you can get the best of your time
organizing.
However, it doesn't mean
I am a freaking clean and organized. I am just a human being like anyone else.
I get sick-sometimes I just want to do me- I am too busy, whatever maybe.
That's why I find the
easiest and simplest systems the ones that's easy to get back on track.
Just like a diet that can get you slim and feat with a little help from you. It
might not be perfect, but it's the one you stick with it till the end. The best
system it's the one that works best for you most of the time. Sometimes people
ask me: how clean and organize is your house? I just say, it's clean/organize
enough. I just keep things simple enough so that when I put things away it's
easy to find later and doesn't take much time to find it.
Know your
end/limitations. One big reason that people putt off doing things is that they
seem like they'll take forever. Start getting everything out and sorting them.
For example; if you’re organizing a bedroom closet, part the clothes by color
and style. Same goes for shoes and so forth. I usually say that the
best way to organize it's to breaking off small chunks of a project, so you are
not overwhelmed by the whole thing. Although I offer suggestions it's good to
come up with your own hacks to help yourself because you know the degree of which
your need of organization is.
